Spiral Filter Fabric

Spiral filter fabrics are made of abrasion resistant PET. They contain a strong spiral seam, which has the same tensile strength as the fabric. In comparison with the clipper seam on woven fabrics, the seam on spiral fabrics has a longer service life and does not fail prematurely. It is no longer the weak point of the belt.

Dewatering properties of the fabric are given by its air permeability, which can be adjusted by inserting a suitable type of filler yarns inside the spirals. We offer spiral fabrics in the range of air permeability form 350 to 1,000 CFM.

Spiral fabrics are especially suitable for dewatering of fibrous material (paper sludge, pulp) and sludges with a high content of inorganic particles (e.g. mining sludges), but they can also be used for dewatering of treated municipal sludge. If the sludge has a high content of organic particles or if it is sticky and muddy, there is a risk of spiral fabric blinding.

Spiral F is a widely used spiral filter fabric with flat filler wires. It is used in a wide range of industrial applications, including the dewatering of sludge in wastewater treatment plants.
